Chief Solomon Ukaegbu Akuma Sworn-In As Senior Advocate Of Nigeria

The Otumba of Igbere, Chief Solomon Ukaegbu Akuma (SAN) was sworn-in as Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi, on Wednesday, December 12, 2007.

The swearing-in took place with that of 16 other lawyers who were selected to be conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) by the Legal Practitioners Privilege Committee (LPPC).

Their swearing-in brought the number of SANs to 245 since the most prestigious honour in the legal profession was introduced in 1975.

Chief Solomon Ukaegbu Akuma, is the second Igbere son to be conferred with SAN rank. Chief Chris Uche (SAN) is he first Igbere son to have such rank.
