
The Otumba of Igbere, Chief Solomon Ukaegbu Akuma (SAN) was sworn-in as Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi, on Wednesday, December 12, 2007. He was one of 17
attorneys selected in 2007 for the conferment of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) by the Legal
Practitioners Privilege Committee (LPPC).
His swearing-in brought the number of SANs to 245 as at 2007 since the most prestigious honour in the legal
profession was introduced in 1975.
Chief Solomon Ukaegbu Akuma, is the second Igbere son to be conferred with SAN rank.
Fondly called Solo by his admires, he was born into the family of Chief Emmanuel Ukaegbu Akuma (Ogaukwu) and Lolo Esther Erinma Ukaegbu of Amakpo Igbere on April 1, 1959. Being the first, he has eight siblings.

Solo, gained admission to read Law at University of Nigeria, Nsukka; where he earned his L.L.B degree. He graduated in 1986 after attending the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, earning a B.L. Degree.
After his enrollment as Barrister and Solicitor of Supreme Court of Nigeria, Solo embarked upon the compulsory National Youth Service in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He had a brief pupilage in the Law Office of Chris Uche & Co., before setting up his own firm of Chief Solo Akuma (SAN) & Associates in April, 1988.

He is staunch member of Odinma Ebiri Age Grade of Igbere. He served as a Legal Adviser of Igbere Welfare Union, from 1988 to 2005. He was the Chairman of IWU-EZUMEZU 2005 PLANNING COMMITTEE.
He has written several legal articles that have been published in various journals. He edited the book “Traversing the Path of Justice” published in honour of Hon. Justice C. I. Uche.
Solo is happily married to Lady Victoria Ebere Akuma and the marriage is blessed with 4 lovely children: Emmanuel, Esther, Solo Jr. And Grace. Chief Solo Akuma has eight (8) siblings namely: Mrs. Nnenna Kalu, Mrs. Chinyere Okoji, Mr. Ukaegbu Ukaegbu, Mrs. Ngozi Igwe, Mr. Abraham U. Akuma, Mrs. Ebere Daniel, Mrs. Uchenna Kalu Agu and Barr. Emmanuel Nwachukwu Ukaegbu.
